India national cricket team
India's
national cricket team, also called India , is India 's international cricket
team. The Indian Cricket Federation is one of the strongest cricket teams in
the world and has won the cricket World Cup twice. It is currently ranked
second in the global cricket rankings.
India's
cricket began in the 18th century by the European navigators who visited India.
The first cricket gym was established in India in 1792 in Calcutta , while
India played its first international official match in 1932 against England's
national cricket team. At the beginning of the 1970's, India was one of the
weakest teams, but with the beginning of 1970 and the emergence of
international players in India such as Sunil Gavancar , Gondaba Viswanath and
Kabil Dev , India became one of the most powerful teams in the world. In 2011,
India won the Cricket World Cup and became the third team after Australia's
national cricket team. The West Indian Cricket Team won the World Cup more than
once, and India became the first team to win the World Cup.
